Watch: Kesrick Williams Ends Shikhar Dhawan’s Quickfire Knock With Brilliant Run-Out

After ending Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan’s promising 64-run stand by dismissing the former with a brilliant slower-delivery, Kesrick Williams piled further misery on India in the ongoing T20 by sending back the latter too in the very same over.
Team India went off to a blazing start with Kohli and Dhawan firing on all cylinders to take the score to 54 in only 5 overs. Kohli continued to bat in the same manner, hitting the first two balls of the sixth over bowled by Williams for a six and four. However, the West Indies bowler had the last laugh when he had the India skipper caught on the very next delivery. Two balls later, the right-arm pacer brought his team right into the match with a brilliant effort to end Shikhar Dhawan’s short but whirlwind innings.
Rishabh Pant, playing only his second T20, nudged one to the short mid-wicket and set-off straightaway. However, realising that the bowler will reach the ball quickly, the 19-year old returned back to his crease. In the meanwhile, Dhawan had responded quickly and was already halfway down the pitch when Pant changed his mind and Williams had the ball in his mind. The West Indies bowler did not make any mistake in dislodging the bails with a direct throw from the short mid-wicket.
Here is a clip of that dismissal:
