With Australia already 48 runs ahead after the end of second day of the ongoing Test in Bengaluru, India were in a desperate need of making a strong start on the third day.

Mathew Wade and Mitchell Starc began on a strong note by adding 32 runs before the latter was dismissed by R Ashwin. But with Wade still on the crease, India were  in a spot of bother as the Aussie batsman could have scored some vital runs. The 29-year old had already played over 100 balls and the bowlers needed something special to dismiss him. Well,Ravindra Jadeja, who was the most impressive bowler on day 2, rose to the occasion and ended Wade’s gritty knock of 40 runs with a brilliant delivery. Bowling from round the wicket, Jadeja bowled one just outside the off stump but the ball turned back sharply and went on to hit Wade’s pad. The Indian players went up in unison and as expected the umpire raised his finger. However, Wade reviewed the decision immediately only to see it getting turned down.

Here is a clip of that brilliant delivery from Jadeja:

Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan. You will never walk alone.
