Watch: Umpire Chris Gaffaney Gives Cheteshwar Pujara A Huge Scare

At a time, when emotions and tensions are running high in the ongoing third Test between India and Australia in Ranchi, umpire Chris Gaffaney shared a much-needed light moment that left everyone including the TV umpire Nigel Llong in splits.
The incident happened in the 142nd over of India’s innings when Cheteshwar Pujara tried to pull a short delivery from Josh Hazlewood. However, the right-handed batsman completely missed the ball and it went straight to the wicketkeeper Matthew Wade. But the Australian slip cordon led by their skipper Steven Smith made a half-hearted appeal and to everyone’s surprise, Gaffaney raised his dreaded finger but then suddenly changed his mind and finished by scratching his hat. The incident must have surprised Pujara but it left the match officials Ian Gould and Llong in splits.
