Watson and Pietersen gang-up to troll Cook over Bell’s exclusion

Shane Watson, who recently retired from international cricket after the T20 World Cup 2016, recently took Twitter to raise a question to England selectors regarding the continuous exclusion of one of the strongest batsman in England, Ian Bell. Watson asked that why Bell isn’t being recalled to the Test team. Watson tagged the former English batsman Kevin Pietersen in his tweet.

Pietersen gave a reply that will surely pinch the England Captain Alastair cook. He highlighted that Cook will never pick anyone that could jeopardise any of his records.

Now this clearly shows that Pietersen still has so much of hatred against the England players who played a key role in his exclusion from the team. Pietersen was dropped and was later axed from the team citing disciplinary issues. Since then he was waiting for a second chance but finally after a statement from ECB Chairman, he decided to move on and now he is planning to play for his native country South Africa. He still has to wait for more than a year to be eligible to play for South Africa.

Well, it looks like Pietersen has done a good homework before writing this on Twitter as number shows that Bell is a tough competitor to Alastair Cook. Bell who is 32 months older than Cook made his test debut before him. Bell has 7727 runs to his name whereas Cook recently entered record book by crossing the milestone of 10000 runs mark. Bell has 22 centuries to his name whereas Cook has 28. Bell who last played a Test match last year against Pakistan is an experienced campaigner who gives a competitive edge to the team he plays for but due to his inconsistent performance in past few years, he found himself dropped from the team. With England team still not getting a right pair of batsmen in their batting line-up, Bell can be given one more chance in the future.

As of now, there is no chance of him being recalled as he is not being selected for the first Test match against Pakistan that will be played at Lords from July 14.

Here are the tweets where the duo trolled the England captain:
