It was the second day of the 2nd test between England and Sri Lanka. Day 1 ended with West Indies ending the first day for only 6 runs with Kraigg Brathwaite and Benn on the crease. Gayle out in the very beginning of the 1st innings at the end of the first day.

Second day was totally registered for Caribbean. Throughout the day West Indies dominated the match. The name who give the head start to the team is Kraigg Brathwaite. This right handed batsman played a magnificent innings in the second day of this match. He hit a ton in the first innings of this match. He scored 129 off 258 balls with 13 fours. He played 10matches in his career. This 129 run is his highest score in his test career till now. He made his debut against Pakistan in 2011. At the end of the day he tried to drive a good length delivery and it swings in and he only succeeds in popping it straight back to the bowler. Night watchman Benn gone at the starting of this day scoring only 4runs for his team. Southee took the wicket of Bennn, the scoreboard was 16/2 then. Edward came in the place of Benn. He scored 55 runs in the 1st innings with 7 fours a 3 sixes. He played a short term power packed innings. It was the 31st over when Sodhi took his wicket. Sodhi pitched that ball right on off stump and took a turn takes a thin edges Edward pushed forward to defend. Darren Bravo came in to the crease.   Lunch break started at 34th over and the score was 124/3 on Caribbean Scoreboard.

In the second session of the day rain struck the ground. Score was 138/3 then on the scoreboard. Second session was registered for Darren Bravo. He hit a ton which act as a boost to the Caribbean team. This 4th wicket partnership between Kraigg Brathwaite and Darren Bravo made the defensive wall against Kiwi’s. Darren Bravo, the left handed Caribbean batsman scored 109 in just 155 ball with 11 fours and 4 over boundaries, and strike rate of 70.32. Darren Bravo played 28 matches in his test career. He made his test debut against Sri Lanka. He got out at the 80th over of the innings. Shivnarine Chanderpaul came to the crease replacing the key player Bravo as Bravo got out.  Kraigg and Shivanarine was trying to building another partnership but at the end of the 2nd day Kiwi bowler Boult struck down the Kraigg’s wicket. Kemar Roach came to the crease. The score was 300/5 then on the score board. At the end of the day West Indies ended up with 310/5 in 91 over.

Kiwi Bowling did not clicked expect Boult and Southee. Boult took 2wicket and Southee took 1 wicket with economy rate of 1.42 and 2.72 respectively. If New Zealand players wants to win this match then their bowler should perform well in the third day of this match.
