Bangladesh plays their last match of Caribbean tour, as they clash with West Indies in the second and final Test at St. Lucia. Hosts, West Indies registered a massive win by 10 wickets in the first Test. After over a month of attritional cricket in the Caribbean, Bangladesh’s tour will come to an end with this second Test in St. Lucia.

On to the visitors first who, despite making a fist of it in second innings after being asked to follow-on, will find it tough to WIN this game.

Bangladesh are winless on this tour after losing ODI series 3-0, whereas rain forced the abandonment of the only Twenty20 International. Naturally, Mushfiqur and co. will like to end this with tour with a win and what better way to fend off critics by winnings an away Test.

Having said that Bangladesh, for the most part in the first Test, were poor as hosts out batted and out bowled them to, first, rack up a massive score of 484-7 declared, with young opener Kraig Braithwaite (212) scoring his maiden double hundred.

Bangladesh, in reply, were bundled out for 182 all out as Sulieman Benn took five wickets, and were also asked to follow-on.

Second time around, though, Bangladesh did made a fist of it and avoided an innings defeat, as skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored a fighting 116. But that reargued was not enough, as West Indies left just 13 runs to WIN, got there with 10 wickets.

In spite achieving a huge WIN, captain Denesh Ramdin was not impressed by his side’s poor catching, and has asked his team to show improvement on that in this match.

On the other hand, Bangladesh has to show some consistency the fight and try to avoid the batting collapses that have become feature of their batting ever since they got Test status.

Talking about team changes, Imrul Kayes has been ruled out of this game with a skin infection as per media reports, so a new batsman most probably Shashur Rehman will come in place of him.

On the bowling front also seamer Al-Amin Hossain has been reported for a suspect action so Bangladesh might not risk him in this Test and go with an additional spinner instead.

Probable XI:

West Indies: Kraigg Brathwaite, Kirk Edwards, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Jermaine Blackwood, Denesh Ramdin (C & WK), Sulieman Benn, Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach, Shane Shillingford, Jerome Taylor.

Bangladesh : Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque , Mushfiqur Rahim, Al-Amin Hossain, Mahmudullah, Mominul Haque, Nasir Hossain, Robiul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Shamsur Rahman, Shuvagata Hom.
