The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is 8 months away and off-late the International Cricket Council(ICC) has announced the schedule for the tournament. The tournament will take place from 14th February, 2015 to 29th March, 2015.

There will be a total of 14 teams participating in this biggest Cricket Tournament. 14 teams are divided into 2 groups, Pool A and Pool B respectively. Pool A comprise of England, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Scotland. On the other hand, Pool B comprise of India, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The World Cup will start with a match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand on 14th February. 2015 in Hagley Oval, Christchurch and the final will be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 29th March, 2015.

14 venues in Australia and New Zealand will host each of the World Cup matches.

Sri Lanka and New Zealand will start off proceedings from Pool A while from Pool B, South Africa and Zimbabwe will play each other in the group’s first game.

The most exciting and much awaited match between defending champions, India and Pakistan will be played on 15th February, 2015 at Adelaide Oval and that will be India’s first game in the tournament.
