Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal celebrates with style after scoring his first T20 hundred at Dharamsala against Oman.

On Sunday left-handed opener Tamim Iqbal becomes first Bangladesh batsman to score hundred against Oman and completes 1000 runs mark in a T20 match. Tamim in a do or die match played one of the best innings of his career. Bangladesh had to win this match to qualify in the Super 10. Tamim helped Bangladesh to set an 180 plus target that was too much for newcomer Oman. Tamim also ended the qualifying round as the highest run scorer.

With Tamim became his country’s first batsman to reach the 1092 runs mark 49 matches  at an average of 24.81 and a highest of unbeaten 103 here are other highest run scorer of nine countries who will feature in Super 10 of ICC World T20 2016.

Mohammad Shahzad: Afghanistan opener  so far scored 1287 runs in 44 matches at an average of  30.64 and a highest of 118.

David Warner: Australia opener who opted to bat in the middle order in T20 format scored 1595 in 57 matches at an average of 29.53 and a highest of unbeaten 90.

Eoin Morgan: The England captain played 56 matches so far and scored 1333 runs at an average of 30.29 with a highest of 85.

Virat Kohli: This Indian batsman is the most prolific T20 batsman. His average 52.61 is the highest in this format among the holders of 1k runs. Virat in 38 matches scored 1368 runs with a highest of 90 against Australia.

Martin Guptill: Though Brendon McCullum is the highest run scorer of New Zealand in this format Martin Guptill is the only Black Caps batsman who has second highest score after McCullum. After McCullum’s retirement Guptill is the only NZ cricketer who has  1666 runs in 57 matches at an average of 34.70 with an unbeaten 101.

Umar Akmal: This Pakistani middle order batsman played 75 runs and scored 1611 runs at an average of 27.30 with a highest of 94.

JP Duminy: Duminy is the highest run scorer among the South African batsmen. He played 68 matches and scored 1571 runs at an average of 36.53 and with the highest score of unbeaten 96.

TM Dilshan:  The veteran Sri Lankan batsman scored 1751 runs at an average of 28.24 and an unbeaten 104 in highest score. He played 74 matches.

Chris Gayle: The West Indies opener played 45 matches so far and scored 1406 runs at ana average of 35.15 and a highest score of 117 in the 2007 World T20 against South Africa at New Wanders, Johannesburg.
