Veteran Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has blamed head coach Waqar Younis for Pakistan’s lackluster performance in limited over cricket. Pakistan have lost the ODI series 3-1 and conceded the T20 series 3-0. The final match tied, but England won the in super over.
Younis minced no words at a function in Karachi in blaming Waqar for spreading uncertainty in the team.
“There shouldn’t be an atmosphere of fear in the dressing room. When the players are not made to feel secure how can they perform for the country,” Younis said.
“I think that person should be coach of the Pakistan team who can keep the players united,” Younis said.
Younis khan announced his retirement from 50 over cricket, after playing Pakistan’s 3-1 series lose to England in UAE. He said the reason to Pakistan’s recent failures was the presence of excessive young players and not allowing a combination to settle down.
He said there was a time when Pakistan was a top T20 side, but now they slipped to No 6.”They are several teams now capable of beating us in this format.”

Run out is the biggest concern for the Pakistan team. They will visit New Zealand in January for a three-match T20 series and three-match ODI series.
Two big tournaments are waiting in 2016. Asia Cup T20 and World T20. Pakistan has slotted in the group of death along with India, Australia and New Zealand.
So, the Shahid Afridi lead T20 side if not improve their fielding quality and running between the wicket they will have little chance in the tournament.
Younis Khan has surpassed Javed Miandad’s record of the highest Test run in the series against England. Pakistan won the series 2-0. Younis Khan was instrumental in Pakistan’s Test series victory over Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka after 2006.
