India won their sixth Asia Cup title and first in T20 format at Sher-e-Bangla national stadium, Dhaka. India won the match by eight wickets against the host Bangladesh. Indian captain MS Dhoni winning the toss elected to field first. Bangladesh scored 120 runs in a rain-marred 15 over-a-side matches.
India’s start was not good as Rohit Sharma lost his wicket for one run. However, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli built a 94 runs partnership that brought India to victory. MS Dhoni came to bat no.4 and fired with his willow as he went on to score 20 runs off 6 balls.
Yuvraj and Suresh Raina did not get an opportunity to bat as India lost only two wickets. But, after the match Yuvraj Singh played the role of a reporter and asked Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 60 off 44 balls, some light-hearted questions.
