The great all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh has smashed yet another century in this Ranji Season. This time it was against Saurashtra. The all-rounder did not have his share of luck a month ago and he was excluded from the 30-man probable list for the World Cup, 2015. Also, he was released by the IPL franchise for which, he used to play i.e. the Royal Challengers Bangalore. And that followed by his demotion from the contract list of BCCI.
Many had given up their hopes on Yuvraj and thought it might well bring an end to a golden career in quite an unexpected manner. But brave people never give up and keep on fighting till their last breath. That is what is being proved by Yuvraj Singh.
He smashed a hat trick of centuries in 3 Ranji matches being played. His last 5 innings in the Ranji Trophy has been as such: 59, 130, 136, 13, 127*. He completed the third century in the morning today and he is the leading run scorer in the Ranji trophy in this particular season with 3 centuries under his belt. With the ball too, he came handy for the Punjab and bagged quite a few wickets at important times.
In the last 5 innings, he scored a total of 465 runs with 63 fours and 10 sixes. Also, he scored the runs in a sheer quick pace. He fought back real hard. But it is sad for him that even after showing this kind of form in the domestic level, he will not be able to play in the World Cup to be held in February, 2015.
He was excluded from the 30-man probable list. Again that question arises about whether his exclusion from that list was justified? Yuvraj is answering the question with his bat and a player of his class and caliber might have come more than handy for the Indian team in Australia-New Zealand in the World Cup where experience counts to a considerable extent.
