Cricketers around the globe took to social media to congratulate Portugal after their famous 1-0 win over France in the Euro Cup final to win the European Championship for the first time in its history  and all this without  superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal were in big trouble when Cristiano Ronaldo was stretchered off injured.
French player Dimitri Payet’s heavy challenge floored the Real Madrid in the first quarter of the game. After getting the treatment he returned on the pitch with his left leg bandaged only to be stretchered off with tears in his eyes. The scene brought back the memories of 2004 Euro final, when a young Ronaldo could not stop crying after losing to Greece.
Leaving the setback behind, Portugal regrouped and thanks to some heroic goalkeeping from Rui Patricio took the game into extra time before Eder struck with 11 minutes to go.

Let us see the cricketers’ reactions to the famous win:

An avid sports lover, i always wanted to pursue a career in football. But just like the millions out there i did not put in the hard work needed to achieve my dream and now i have become a fan instead of the player. Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan. You will never walk alone.
