The Day 3 of the Vijay Hazare trophy is underway as this turns out to be a big day for the likes of Team India dropouts Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra among others. Amtar: India’s dashing Southpaw Yuvraj Singh seemed far from his best in the recent times has failed to deliver once again as he was dismissed for 15 runs against Delhi in the North Zone Vijay Hazare trophy match. The left hander was caught and bowled by Rajat Bhatia. Ashish Nehra led the way as Delhi made earl inroads into Punjab’s batting oreder. Nehra claimed 2-22 in his five overs as Punjab are currentlystrugling at 182-6 in 45 overs Courtesy a fifty from Taruwar Kohli. In reply, Delhi cruised home by 4 wickets but Sehwag and Gambhir fails to impress once again. Harbhajan was wicketless in his nine overs conceding 49 runs.
In the other matches,Himachal Pradesh has an edge over Haryana as they dismissed them for a below par score of 163. Services set 237 for Kashmir to Qualify for the main round.
Punjab 182-6 in 45 overs (Taruwar Kohli 50, Gurkeerat Singh 47, Sumit Narwal 2-23, Nehra 2-41) lost to Delhi 188-6 in 44 overs (Bhatia 58*, Puneet Bisht 30, Amitoze Singh 3-27) by 4 wickets.
Haryana 163 in 48.3 overs (SS Singh 34, Raghav Dhawan 2-16, PP Jaswal 3-23) lost to Himachal Pradesh 166-4 IN 38 OVERS (Paras Dogra 71*, NR Gangta 56 Joginder Sharma 3-17) by six wickets at Dharamshala.
Services 236-9 in 50 overs (Nakul Verma 56, Rajat Paliwal 61, Mehjoor Ali 3-41, Parveez Rasool 2-39) lost to Jammu and Kashmir 237-7 in 49.1 overs (Parveez Rasool 69*, Ian Chauhan 67, AK Sinha 3-33) by three wickets at Bilaspur.
Mumbai and Gujarat Pull Off Huge Wins in Stunning Fashion
Domestic Giants Mumbai who are without their trump cards Rohit Sharma and Zaheer Khan came out on top against Saurashtra by 2 wickets. Cheteshwar Pujara’s ton went in vain as Mumbai chased down 280 in 2 overs to spare. In the other match, Gujarat beat Baroda by 5 wickets in a stunning chase of 314 runs. Pujara is making his case strong for the World Cup.

Former Karnataka Opener KB Pawan, who represents Kerala in this season has been batting brilliantly against Tamil Nadu at Secundrabad. He is going strong on 84 as his team are well placed to reach a good total at the end of 50 overs. Fellow Karnataka Player backed Pawan with a well made 36.
