The Indan skipper, Virat Kohli, in the pre-match conference ahead of the first T20I, said that Yuvraj Singh has a lot of cricket left in him and has a lot to offer to the Indian team as well,

“Yuvraj Singh is the best batsman in this format of the game. He can alone win the game for the team and he has shown this in past. He has done a lot of hard work as he did not play regular cricket since 2013. I can say that Yuvraj has a lot offer to the Indian team and will win lot more game for India in future.”

Yuvraj Singh, who scored a century in second ODI at Cuttack, was making his comeback in the ODI squad after a brief period of three years. He succeeded in making most out of the opportunity and was a great asset for the team in the ODI series. The all-rounder would like to replicate his performance in the shortest format of the game as well.

Yuvraj last played a T20 game for India when he was the part of a team in the T20 World Cup 2016 but was ruled out due to an injury before the semi-final game and was then not considered for the T20 series against Zimbabwe and West Indies. He made his comeback to the limited overs format for this series, riding on his perfect show in domestic cricket and now is enjoying his return. Yuvraj will be one of the senior players in the squad and have a lot to offer. Surely, Kohli would like Yuvraj Singh to perform the way he performed in ODI series so as to reap maximin benefits out of his presence.
