Yuvraj Singh ruled out of the World T20, Manish Pandey to replace him

Before the semi-finals stage, Indian team  suffered a major blow as explosive left handed batsmen Yuvraj Singh could be ruled out of the ongoing World T20. Yuvraj Singh got cramps in his ankle during the virtual quarterfinals match against Australia yesterday night. Yuvraj Singh scored 21 off 18 balls and steadied the innings with Virat Kohli.

As a backup for Yuvraj Singh, the Indian team have called Manish Pandey. The reason for injury has not been identified. Yuvraj Singh was not able to run properly between the wickets. India will play the semi-finals against West Indies on 31st March at Mumbai. Yuvraj Singh played a key role in yesterday’s win over Australia. He bowled 3 important overs and picked the wicket of Steve Smith. With the bat, he scored important runs.

According to the rules if he is ruled out of the World Cup then he can’t play the finals on April 3. India has played 4 matches winning 3 and losing only. Manish Pandey is an excellent option because of his hitting abilities. He is also an excellent fielder also. Yuvraj Singh has contributed in the tournament with the bat at important times.

Yuvraj Singh played an important role in yesterday’s match. He stopped the run flow of Australian batsmen and did not allow them to hit big strokes.

Manish Pandey has the experience of playing the IPL. He can hit the ball a long way which will be useful for the Indian team ahead of the semi-finals.  Manish Pandey has played for India and has been a consistent performance in the domestic circuit.
