The Pakistan cricket board has not been able to play any of the Test playing nations at home due to security reasons, but now are ready to host Zimbabwe in months to come. However, the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) has put forth two conditions for other tour to be held. The union has asked the Pakistan cricket board for 50% of revenues earned during the tour and also a return tour to Zimbabwe.
Though it is said that the players are ready to tour Pakistan the board needs some financial incentives to improve the condition of cricket in the country. It is also said that a security delegate is already in Pakistan and the team is just waiting for clearance and also the above mentioned conditions. The PCB has asked Zimbabwe to play 3 ODIs and two T20s in the tour.
It is also said that the ZCU is not comfortable playing at Karachi and wants all 5 matches to be held at Lahore. It is said that reason for such a decision is purely security concerns. If the ZCU do end up going and playing in Pakistan they will be the first Test playing nation to play in the country since 2009. In this time with Zimbabwe not touring the country before the end of May, the Pakistan cricket board is already planning to start its T20 super 8’s tournament at the beginning of May. However the officials for this tournament are not yet decided by the ICC for security reasons.
