The Premier League has already finished three of its matchdays and has provided some super entertainment at the start of the new season. The amount of quality in the league will make sure that there is unlimited entertainment throughout the league but it has come to a temporary halt for the international break. Countries from around the world will be involved in friendly games and also the qualifiers for the World Cup from their continent which will be a source of great entertainment even in the break.

So here are 10 games that will keep us busy during the current international break:


India vs Puerto Rico (friendly):
Saturday, 3rd September; KO: 10:00 pm IST

Ahead of their qualifiers for the World Cup, India will host Puerto Rico in a friendly this week that will help them ready themselves for the bigger games in the break.


Slovakia vs England (WC Qualifier; EU):
Sunday, 4th September; KO: 9:30 pm IST

England will be back in action after their disastrous run in the EUROs as they will travel to Slovakia for the first World Cup qualifier for the side this year. They will hope that Sam Allardyce, the new manager can get them running in this game.

Czech Republic vs Northern Ireland (WC Qualifier; EU):
Monday, 5th September; KO: 12:15 am IST

A clash of two equals, Czech Republic will take on a Northern Ireland side that did wonders in their EURO16 campaign in France recently. Both teams have some star players going into this game and it being a qualifier, is sure to produce some action on the night.

Norway vs Germany (WC Qualifier, EU):
Monday, 5th September; KO: 12:15 am IST

The World Cup winners who had a hard time in the latter stages of the EURO16 in France will be back in action this Monday when they take on Norway in their first qualifier of the season. They will be expected to make light work of their opponents but it will be interesting to see how they link up after the exit in the EUROs.

Russia vs Ghana (friendly):
Tuesday, 6th September; 9:30 pm IST

The friendlies will continue meanwhile even as the qualifiers are entertaining the fans. Russia will take on Ghana in a friendly game that is sure to produce some fireworks. Both teams have some quality stars in their lineup and will produce a good game.


Croatia vs Turkey (WC Qualifier, EU):
Tuesday, 6th September; 12:15 am IST

One of the many games to look forward to in the break, Croatia take on Turkey for a  place in the group stage of the World Cup. Both clubs were decent in the EUROs recently and will want to establish their authority on the qualifiers in this game.

Israel vs Italy (WC Qualifier; EU):
Tuesday, 6th September; 12:15 am IST

Giampiero Ventura, the new Italian boss will have his first real test this international break as his Italy side takes on Israel on Monday (BST). It will be interesting to see the new boss take charge of the side and change the way they approach the game after Antonio Conte’s reign.

Spain vs Liechtenstein (WC Qualifier; EU):
Tuesday, 6th September; 12:15 am IST

After a victory over Belgium in the friendlies before this game, Spain will be hoping to continue their positive run after their debacles in the EUROs recently. They have a star studded lineup that is sure to provide some fireworks making this game a must watch for the fans.

Wales vs Moldova (WC Qualifier; EU):
Tuesday, 6th September; 12:15 am IST

After a superb run in the EURO16, Wales will once again be expected to continue their good form and will be expected to dominate the qualifiers for the World Cup. They will host Moldova in a qualifier that is expected to be an interesting watch even for the neutrals.

Uruguay vs Paraguay (WC Qualifier; SA):
Wednesday, 7th September; 4:30 am IST

In what can easily be the match of the week, Uruguay take on Paraguay in the World Cup qualifiers for South America. Both teams had a decent Copa America and will hope to have a similar run into the World Cup.


Venezuela vs Argentina (WC Qualifier; SA):
Wednesday, 7th September; 4:30 am IST

Messi’s Argentina will be back in action after their loss in the finals to Chile in the Copa America recently. They will be expected to get the better of Venezuela in the first qualifier for both countries.

Chile vs Bolivia (WC Qualifier; SA):
Wednesday, 7th September; 4:30 am IST

After the victory in the Copa America final against Argentina, Chile will be in red hot form for the WC qualifiers and will take on Bolivia in the first game for both countries.


Brazil vs Columbia (WC Qualifier; SA):
Wednesday, 7th September; 4:30 am IST

Though they were not able to do well in the Copa America, Brazil will he raring to go for the World Cup and will play Columbia, a top class opponent in their first game of the qualifiers this season.

Belarus vs France (WC Qualifier; EU):
Wednesday, 7th September; 12:15 am

The runners up of the EUROs,  got themselves a morale boosting victory over Italy in a friendly this international break and will start their qualifying campaign with a trip to Belarus.

Sweden vs Netherlands (WC Qualifier; EU):
Wednesday, 7th September; 12:15 am

The loss of Zlatan will have hurt the Swedish national side but not as much as a non-existent EURO final campaign for the Dutch. This duo will face off in their first qualifier for the next World Cup.

Switzerland vs Portugal ((WC Qualifier; EU):
Wednesday, 7th September; 12:15 am

The champions of Europe will start their World Cup campaign against Switzerland and will hope that they can continue their next adventure starting with a victory.
