Klopp was the one who broke that for a while. Klopp won 179 games out of 318 games with Borussia Dortmund, earning himself a 56.29 percentage win. He took over the Black and Yellows in 2008 and went on to become one of the club’s most successful managers. Klopp won the 2010/11 and 2011/12 Bundesliga title, and the German Cup in 2012.

5> Klopp is a Mainz icon

Before he made his big break with Borussia Dortmund, Jurgen Klopp plied his trade with Mainz 05 for 12 years, before becoming the team’s manager in 2001. Klopp managed Mainz 05 from 2001 to 2008, helping the team make its first appearance in the Bundesliga, and also secure a place for the 2005/2006 UEFA Cup.
