According to latest reports in Italy, AC Milan are close to signing Arsenal target Rodrigo Bentacur.

Bentacur has been in fine form over the past year and had attracted interest from a host of clubs in Europe which includes Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Benfica.

However, Italian media outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport has claimed that AC Milan are very close to signing the 19-year old youngster.

The young midfielder has played a vital role in Boca Juniors campaign last season as he managed an impressive 29 appearances for the Argentine club. The midfielder is set to move to Europe after such an impressive season with Boca Juniors.

Juventus are said to have the first refusal on him, after including the clause in the deal which took Carlos Tevez to Boca last year.

But the Italian giants are but interested in signing the young Uruguayan this summer which helps AC Milan in their pursuit to sign him.

Milan are reportedly willing to offer the player a contract worth £1.25 million a year but are yet to agree on the fees with Boca Juniors for the £12.5m rated teenager.
