After Rooney, Another Manchester United Star Closes In On A Move To China This Week!

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have just not been able to climb up the points table, even after stitching a decent run of results since the turn of the year.

They are currently in the 6th place in the points table, not too far away from a place in Europe but they will have to improve on their performances if they are sure to finish in the top-4 come the end of the season.

The new manager at the club, Jose Mourinho, made a number of star signings in the summer with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba all cementing a place in the starting XI this season.

Mourinho has also let a number of players leave the club with the likes of Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin being shown the exit door and it does not come as a surprise that he is already planning for his activity in the transfer window at the end of the season.

However, with the transfer window still open in China, Manchester Untied have been looking to sell a couple of players before the deadline day and the likes of Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney may be on their way to China.

The transfer window in China closes Tuesday, next week and reports from ESPN now reveal that Mourinho is ready to offload Ashley Young before the window is shut.

Skipper Wayne Rooney and his move to China are sure to go to last few days of the window but according to reports, Young could be on his way to China in the upcoming days.

The former Aston Villa winger, who is a utility player for Mourinho but has made just 7 starts in all competition for the Red Devils. He is not in the plans of the manager this season and is looking for an exit with Chinese outfit Shandong Luneng interested in his services.

The CSL outfit have been monitoring the situation of the 31-year old for some time now and they are ready to make a move before the 20th of February, the deadline day in China.

Sources have told ESPN FC that the club, managed by Felix Magath, are in talks with the 31-year-old’s agents and have enlisted the help of a representative based in England.

Manchester United are active on all four fronts this season and will need all the depth they can have to survive the business end of the season. So they may be reluctant to sell the winger this month.

But with less than 18 months left on his contract, Mourinho has very little choice but to offload him.

Do you think Ashley Young should be sold this month?
