According to Marca, Sevilla have received an offer of 20 million euros, plus the transfer of Suso for Alberto Moreno. Though they have not mentioned whether the deals involves a premanent or loan move for Suso. Moreno has a foot and a half in Anfield, as Sevilla see the Reds’ proposal as a good one. Everyone at the Sevilla had assumed Alberto would leave this summer, with Europa League final in Turin would be his last official game with Sevilla and Liverpool’s offer is even better than expected. A lot of European clubs are looking for Moreno’s signature – Napoli had an offer of €14.5 million rejected in January as Sevilla feel they can fetch a lot more for the 21 year old left back. Marca also claim, both Monchi and Unai Emery are still thinking about whether they want Suso to be included in the operation, while some economic details need to be sotred out.
According to the very reliable Tony Barrett of The Times, Liverpool made a £16 million bid and will allow Suso to join the Spainsh side on loan for the next season. Barrett also confirms Chelsea’s Ryan Bertrand and Filipe Luís of Atletico Madrid are alternatives if Liverpool fail to sign the 21 year old left back. Sky Sports, The Liverpool Echo and The Guardian also confirmed the news.
Back in March, Alberto Moreno’s agent Javier Moya confirmed that Sevilla are willing to sell the youngster.
“Nothing is done [with Real Madrid] and my client is focused on Sevilla. Sevilla are willing to negotiate, but on their terms. However, that’s not to say that he will leave for the full €30 million release clause.”
Liverpool conceded 50 goals last season more than any other side in the top 5 of the Premier League and Rodgers will surely be looking to strengthen his defence. Moreno, 21, is on Liverpool’s radar after an impressive season with Sevilla. The Spain international was part of Sevilla’s Europa League winning side. Rodgers wants Moreno to replace Aly Cissokho, after deciding not to sign him permanently. The 21 year old left back has been included in Spain’s preliminary 30-man squad for the World Cup. Moreno has a release clause of £25m.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are continuing to negotiate with Southampton for Adam Lallana. The Times confirmed Liverpool are yet to agree a fee with Southampton, with Rodgers unwilling to pay more than £20 million for Lallana. If the deal goes through Bournemouth will receive 25 per cent of the proceeds of the sale of their former player.
