Analysis of the new season's fixture list: Bayern Munich

The Per Guardiola led side; Bayern Munich lifted the Bundesliga title in record time last season. But in the Europe’s elite competition, they have fallen short the last two years. But the perfectionist that Guardiola is, he will try his best to give Bayern a season to remember. Bayern as a team is known for the brand of football they play and without injuries, they are close to un-beatable. So the next season of Bundesliga is something that the team will want to win as soon as they can which will help them concentrate on the other cups.

For the fans of the club, we will take a look at the road laid down for the Bundesliga giants as they will enter the new season on the 15th of August.

August: 14th Hamburg (H) ; 22nd Hoffenheim (A) ; 29th Bayer Leverkusen (H)

September: 12th FC Augsburg (H) ; 19th SV Dramstadt 98 (A) ; 22nd Wolfsburg (H) ; 26th Mainz (A)

October: 3rd Borussia Dortmund (H) ; 17th Werder Bremen (A) ; 24th Cologne (H) ; 31st Frankfurt (A)

Bayern will kick off their season against the Hamburg side and will play Leverkusen at the Allianz on the 29th of August. In September, they play Wolfsburg at home which could be a bit tricky and then on the 3rd of October, they will host Dortmund. October will see the club play Werder Bremen, Cologne and Frankfurt. By the end of October, the fans will be disappointed of Bayern are not leading the race already with only one fixture seemingly tough.

November: 7th Stuttgart (H) ; 21st Shalke (A) ; 28th Hertha Berlin (H)

December: 5th Borussia Monchengladbach (A) ; 12th FC Ingolstadt 04 (H) ; 19th Hannover 96 (A)

January: 23rd Hamburg (A) ; 30th Hoffenheim (H)

February: 6th Bayer Leverkusen (A) ; 13th FC Augsburg (A) ; 20th SV Dramstadt 98 (H) ; 27th Wolfsburg (A)

November will see the club travel to Shalke. This will be game to watch as Shalke got the better of the Bayern in the corresponding fixture last season. December will be relatively easy for Guardiola’s side as will January. But February will see them play three away games and any complacency may see the club face a bit of a problem if other teams in the league can compete with them. But if Bayern are in pole position after February, there are very few things that can stop them from lifting the title again.

March: 2nd Mainz (H) ; 5th Borussia Dortmund (A) ; 12th Werder Bremen (H) ; 19th Cologne (A)

April: 2nd Frankfurt (H) ; 9th Stuttgart (A) ; 16th Shalke (H) ; 23rd Hertha Berlin (A) ; 30th Borussia Monchengladbach (H)

May: 7th FC Ingolstadt 04 (A) ; 14th Hannover 96 (H)

On the 5th of March, the club will travel to the Westfalenstadion for the second game against Dortmund in the season. They play Stuttgart and Shalke back to back in the middle of April. But by the time it’s May, the Bundesliga will more or less be decided. But if the league somehow comes down to the last two games, Bayern have a great advantage as they will play a newly promoted team and Hannover who finished 13th last season.

So the fans of the club will already start believing that the league is theirs. But the quality of football in the previous season from other teams in the league will mean that Bayern will have to be at their best if they want to run away with the league like they did last season.
