Anfield fan favorite heading for exit as Klopp wants player to move out on loan to gain full fitness

Liverpool have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the Premier League for almost two years now and they showed that they have not learnt much in that time in the game against Burnley at the weekend that saw them ship 2 goals at the Turf Moor.

Anyone who saw the match would attest to the number of problems the Reds have at the back and it is expected that Klopp will need all the defensive cover he can get in the transfer window to help him in his new season in the Premier League.

However, reports late last night have revealed that Jurgen Klopp is plotting to send one of his defenders on a loan spell before the end of the transfer window.

French international Mamadou Sakho, who is currently back in training after an injury lay-off during the pre-season, is reportedly available for a loan move away from Anfield this summer.

The 26-year old was impressive at times in the previous season but carried a nervous look to his game that has seen the manager look into the transfer window in the summer as he bought in Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip into the team ahead of the next season.

And it is now revealed that Klopp wants to send Sakho on a year-long loan for him to regain full fitness and he feels that the Frenchman may not have too many games to play at Anfield in this season.

However, the fans of the club were furious with the news as they do not want one of their star players, and fan favorites to leave the club. Adding to it is Liverpool’s defensive woes.

Liverpool are currently missing the likes of Joe Gomez through injury and have let Martin Skrtel and Kolo Toure leave this summer.

They are not in Europe and will not have too many games to play but have just the 2 fit center backs in Klavan and Lovren. Though Matip is not far away from full fitness, it will be a shocking decision if Klopp reduces his cover in the defensive areas.

Liverpool have also been hit by a number of injuries recently and if Klopp lets Sakho go and sees his team pick up a few injuries at the back, he will be cursing himself.

But he has not had a proper pre-season under his belt thanks to injuries and this may be the right decision for all parties involved.

Do you think Klopp should let Sakho go on loan this summer?
