Arsenal are all set to sign the Nigerian wonder kid, Samuel Chukwueze, who confirmed earlier that he will join Arsenal soon. It is happening very soon as the player will reach London very soon, and deal could be secured today itself, as reported by Goal UK.

It was earlier reported that the club are determined to sign two Nigerian prodigies who were part of the U-17 World Cup triumph, and now Samuel Chukwueze has revealed that he will join his compatriot Kelechi Nwakali, who is believed to have reached London two weeks ago.

It is also rumoured that the trip was paid for by the club itself, who are keen to grab the Nigerian duo, while the work permit still hindering the dream for the players.

Samuel Chukwueze spoke to AftricanFootball.com about his delight to join one of the great club in the world.

“My trip to London is on Monday night,” Chukwueze told. “I am happy that everything is going well and I will do my best when I get there by the grace of God.”

He also emphasised that he favours Arsenal for its ability to nurture young talent, which made his decision quite easy.

“Arsenal as you well know are a very good club and it will be good for my career since I will be able to learn many new things. I like Arsenal because they are a club who give young players the opportunity to showcase their talents and I believe I would be given the chance to play too.”

Samuel Chukwueze along with Kelechi Nwakali were integral part of Nigeria’s title winning run in FiFa U-17 World Cup in Chile in 2015, while the later was named as the Best player of the tournament. Both the players scored thrice in the most coveted tournament for the youngsters.
