According to the latest transfer news from the Metro, Chelsea are in danger of losing their transfer target Isco to their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side are desperate to bring the talented playmaker at White Hart Lane before summer transfer window closes.
The 24-year-old creative midfielder could find himself surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Marco Asensio able to play in his attacking midfield position.
As per the Daily Mirror, Tottenham could look to take advantage by offering the Spaniard a loan move to White Hart Lane.
If the temporary deal was successful, it is believed that the playmaker could move to north London permanently next season.
However, Chelsea have been chasing for the signature of Spain international since the last year, with another London giants, Arsenal to have been linked this summer. Manchester United entered the race lately.
The midfielder has found it difficult to break into the starting lineup of Real Madrid since arriving from Malaga back in 2013.
Isco could also be considered as the potential replacement for Cesc Fabregas, who has been linked with a departure from the Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard emerged as one of the top young players in the world during his time at former club Malaga, attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League.
According to AS, Real are looking to sell Isco in order to fund signings of their own to come in this summer, with little activity from the club so far.
