Arsenal have been linked with Liverpool’s troubled striker Daniel Sturridge on previous occasions and, if he is really available in the market, he seemed like an obvious player for the Gunners to target. Even Arsene Wenger once said the Englishman has great potential to become

What has given more momentum to Sturridge rumours is his current situation at the Merseyside club. He has fallen out of favour with manager Jurgen Klopp of late and is not an automatic starter for the Reds anymore.
The German has preferred to play Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi ahead of Sturridge in the striker role this season.
Sturridge played in a wide role in the 2-0 defeat to Burnley, while he got only two minutes of playing time against Tottenham. He cut out a frustrated figure on the sidelines at White Hart Lane on Saturday as Klopp decided to send Origi ahead of him as a second-half substitute.
Following the Burnley game, he clearly started his displeasure on being played in a wide position. So, clearly, all is not well between Klopp and Sturridge at the moment.
But the most important question remains; is Sturridge willing to fight for his place at Anfield, or is he ready to switch to another club?
In the current market, it will take a substantial bid from Arsenal to convince the Reds into selling their player. Ia Wenger prepared to spend that kind of money on a striker when he has just signed another one in Lucas Perez for £17m?
One should also not forget Sturridge’s injury problems. It will definitely be a huge risk spending a substantial amount of money on a player who has spent a better part of last two season on the treatment table.
Brazilian radio station Futebol da Gaucha has claimed that the Reds have placed a £30m bid for Gremio forward Luan. The Reds already have a sufficient number of strikers in their team, and if they are planning to sign another one, surely someone is going to leave.
Is it going to Sturridge? Let’s see!
