Juventus have contacted Schalke for the transfer of their 21 year old attacking midfielder Julian Draxler according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Juventus had won a double last season but the Bianconeri has seen their key players to leave the club in this transfer window.

Carlos Tevez has left for Boca Juniors and Andrea Pirlo has left for New York City FC. Chilean box to box midfielder Arturo Vidal is said to leaving the Turin club for German Bundesliga holders Bayern Munich.

Juventus are working very hard in this transfer window to fill the voids created by the departure of their star players and they have signed Mario Mandzukic, Sami Khedira and Paulo Dybala.

Now they are looking to reinforce their midfield and the 21 year old German wonderboy caught their eye.

Juventus were linked with 4 Chelsea attacking midfielders Oscar, Willian, Juan Cuadrado and Mohamed Salah in this window but failed to land any of them.

The Schalke versatile attacking midfielder has a €45 million release clause in his contract but his recent injuries could allow Juventus to close the deal for between €15 and €20 million.

Juventus will get a huge amount of money for Arturo Vidal and manager Massimiliano Allegri is looking for a trequartista with that money and Julian Draxler fits those bills.

Draxler is known as a either footed player with brilliant vision, flair, speed, skills and technique and dribbling skills.

He is a impressive long range shooter also.

He was predominantly a left winger but his creativity and vision favoured his managers to play in a central advanced playmaker role.

Draxler had a injury stricken season last time out which he would like to forget.

Draxler made his Bundesliga debut for Schalke aged 17 in January 2011, and in May of that year scored the first goal as the side won the DFB-Pokal Final. A full international since 2012, he was part of the German side which won the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Draxler has 15 International caps to his name which is very impressive considering his age and the presence of big stars in the National Team.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the German and Arsenal were heavily linked with him for the past few windows and if Juventus sign the player, it will be a major blow to the Gunners.
