According to latest reports, Arsenal are set to battle out with Chelsea over Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann. The Gunners are ready to make key additions this season as they are likely to go all-out for Premier League title next season.

Gunners have Giroud in their ranks as a notable striker but have no other options up front. They sent Podolski on loan to Inter Milan this summer but the German international failed in Serie A too which has complicated things to Wenger.

The player is brought in as a replacement for Diego Costa by Atletico Madrid from Real Sociedad this summer and Griezmann has been an instant hit at Vincente Caldron.

The 24-year old can be an ideal solution to Arsenal’s striker crisis as he has scored 22 goals for Atletico Madrid in 34 La Liga appearances this season. The player has drawn interest from Premier League side Chelsea and also from Bayern Munich.

Atletico Madrid is trying to tie up the player by offering him a new contract but the player have put the contract on hold in order to learn the interest from other big clubs. The player is valued at £43million by Chelsea and any other club interested in the player should increase their bid.
