As the transfer window is knocking at the door and rumours are getting hot just like the weather, there is a lot to talk about. The premier league leaders Leicester city’s boss Claudio Ranieri fears that they won’t be able to hold onto one of their key players. DailyStar have reported that the Foxes are concerned about not being able to convince all of their star players to stay at the King Power Stadium. Not even if they create a history this season by snatching the Premier league title.
With 16 goals this season, Riyad Mahrez has not only been one of the best performers of Claudio Ranieri’s side, but also in the whole league. His brilliant skills, bright, scintillating and energetic individual displays with the ball have drawn the interest of Manchester United, Barcelona and Tottenham. A done deal with any of these this summer would surely see Leicester City making a great profit, considering that the Foxes paid only £400,000 in 2014 to land the strong contender for PFA Player of the Year 2016, Riyad Mahrez at the King Power Stadium.
Whereas N’Golo Kante, has been a brick wall in Leicester City’s defensive midfield since his move from the French side Caen for just £5.6m. Chelsea, Arsenal and Juventus are reported to be very keen on signing the 25-year-old, who scored on his debut for France during the international break. Kante has recently rejected a move which could led him away from the King Power Stadium by saying: “I will fight for Leicester this season and next season we never know and we will see. At this moment I am focused on Leicester. We have to finish well this season but I don’t mind about [being linked with] the other clubs.”
With a guaranteed place in the UEFA Champions League football and the Premier League title most likely to be on its way it is just a matter of time for Mahrez and Kante, they have choices to make!
