One of the biggest master-minds in the present era of football, Jose Mourinho ended his second stint with Chelsea abruptly, just months after lifting the Premier League trophy earlier this season.
The Portugal national has ever since been out of a job and has been hung high and dry by the Old Trafford outfit who are widely tipped off to bring him in for the next season.
But however flattering a manager’s job at Old Trafford is, Mourinho seems to have ran out of patience and has already been linked with the likes of Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Porto.
But the biggest transfer saga may yet to be uncovered. If recent reports are anything to go by, Mourinho may once again return to London in a shocking move this summer.
Though many papers have recently gone on to reveal that Mourinho has signed a pre-contract with Manchester United, according to Fichajes, a Spanish news outlet specializing in gossip, the Gunners want Mourinho to replace Arsene Wenger in the summer.
The Emirates franchise have failed to take big steps in the last couple of seasons or more and this has seen the fans turn around their long serving manager Arsene Wenger.
Though the manager himself rubbished the rumors of his exit, recent reports have suggested that the owners at the Emirates are plotting a stunning move to get Mourinho to the club for the next season.
The Portuguese in a recent interview revealed that he wants to get back to the Premier League this summer and explained that a fresh start is what he wants after this season’s debacles.
Speaking at an event in Singapore last month, he said: “I always feel that it’s better to wait, not to rush, better to be calm, to wait for the right moment, the right move.
“I feel that starting the next season with a new club and project is probably the best thing for me,” he added.
However, he strayed away from answering questions about his future and saw the funny side of the interview when he was asked which club he will be going in the summer.
“I read so many different things. One day it says I go to China, another day it says I go to Italy, and people say I’m back to Inter Milan. I’m here – probably, you are saying I will go to the Singapore national team.”
This move, if happens, will come as a big blow for the Old Trafford outfit who will be left to rue their decision of not taking the first step to acquire the footballing maestro.
If the rumor is true, we will be in for a very interesting transfer saga in the summer.
