Theo Walcott’s days as an Arsenal player seem to be numbered after Arsenal have been strongly linked with the Barcelona forward Pedro. The Spanish star has been linked with a move to Emirates this summer as Arsene Wenger sees Pedro as the key player for Arsenal next season.
Pedro has been valued at £24 million by Barcelona and the player has got increasingly frustrated with the lack of playing time since Luis Suarez’s arrival at Camp Nou. Pedro has started less than 10 games this season which is a lot less for the World Cup winner.
Pedro seeks more playing time and has the option of choosing between Arsenal and Liverpool as both of the Premier League teams are interested in signing the Spanish forward. Arsenal are very confident of signing the striker as Liverpool are suffering from a very sticky spell at the moment.
Pedro’s arrival could mean the end of Theo Walcott at Arsenal. Walcott has not been able to fulfil his potential with the Gunners since his move from Southampton in 2006. Walcott could join Liverpool in the Summer as Brendan Rdogers seeks to revive his team for next season.
Arsenal could sign second Barcelona player in 2 seasons after snatching Alexis Sanchez from the Catalans last summer. Pedro and Alexis have a prior experience of playing together and doing very well as a pair. Arsene Wenger is hoping for similar results as he looks to bring Pedro to Emirates next season.
