Just few days after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that striker Chuba Akpom will not move out of Emirates Stadium, the 19 year old is all set for a move to Premier League side Hull City on a season long move With this move, Akpom will now join his Arsenal Academy and England Under-20 teammate Issac Hayden at the KC Stadium, who has already joined the Tigers yesterday.

After Akpom scored a Hat-Trick against Singapore select XI in a pre-season friendly, Wenger was asked about the future of Akpom at the Emirates Stadium for which Wenger said “I sent him out on loan last year because I thought he needed that. This pre-season, during the season I plan to keep him with us. I t’s down to performance and attitude. He has that grade to make between being a big talent and after an efficient talent week in, week out. That’s of course the target.”

While speaking about his move to Hull, Hayden said that that is what he needed at this stage of his career. Hayden, who can play in the defence and the midfield said It’s exactly what I need at this stage of my career. This club is an ambitious one, so to be part of this is a great opportunity. It’s a chance for me to prove myself.

Akpom has had previous spells at Brentford, Coventry and Nottingham Forest, making a total of 26 career appearances without finding the net. Arsenal also confirmed the loan move of the 17-year-old midfielder Dan Crowley who has joined League One side Barnsley until January.
