As per the latest reports, Arsenal have made contact with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender and are lining up a summer bid to secure his transfer. It is a well known fact that Arsenal are in the market to add at least one quality defensive midfielder.

Gunners have made Morgan Schneiderlin their primary target but with Manchester United favorites to sign Scheiderlin, Arsene Wenger is looking for other options available in the market. Wenger has shown interest in the likes of Kondogbia (AS Monaco) and Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen) as he desperately needs a defensive midfielder this summer.
