Arsenal’s Predicted line up against Chelsea for London Derby

Arsenal are going to face Chelsea in the London derby on Saturday in Emirates Stadium as the team looks to continue their momentum.

Arsene Wenger have been spot on with his selection after the international break as the Gunners were on a roller coaster having won three consecutive Premier League games in the league for the first time in nine months.

They have also shown their dominance against Nottingham Forest as they tamed the Championship side with a 4-0 scoreline. The Gunners look to continue their impressive playing style as they are cruising past opposition  with ease.

The derby would be the biggest test for Chelsea as the Blues will come with full force against Arsenal and Wenger is keen to add three more points to their tally as they look to challenge Manchester City for the title who are currently running away with their perfect start after five Premier League games.

Wenger is keen to field the best quality available at his disposal for the high-profile game. Here we look at the predicted line up for Arsenal against Chelsea.

Petr Cech is expected to start as he is the best goalkeeper available at the club despite decent performances by David Ospina. The centre back partnership of Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny is expected as they could be the perfect solution to contain Chelsea’s Diego Costa.

Koscielny would neutral the aerial threat while Mustafi could blend in with decent tackling and could be the perfect defender for the Arsenal’s style of play for the game. Having lesser options in the wings, Hector Bellerin would start in the right back position as he made that position his own over the past year. Monreal is expected to start on the other side of the pitch to complete the defense.

Central defensive midfield is the area where  Wenger is expected to have lot of options as all the three central defensive midfielders Francis Coquelin, Granit Xhaka and Santi Cazorla are all in fine form. Xhaka could be given a nod ahead of Coquelin due to his consistent fine performances while Cazorla is set to partner due to his experience.

Mesut Ozil is expected to start as the central attacking midfielder as he is the one that could really make the difference in the game with his creative passing in the final third.

Wenger would have plenty of headache while choosing the striker as Lucas Perez have scored a brace in their 4-0 EFL Cup win against Nottingham Forest but the 66-year old is expected to go with Alexis Sanchez as his central forward.

The 20-year old Iwobi is expected to start on the left wing after his man of the match performance against Hull City last weekend while Theo Walcott is expected to start on the right side of the attack.
