Arsene Wenger was caught in a rather uncomfortable moment when he was speaking in his weekly pre-match conference ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup semifinal clash with Reading. Arsene Wenger was asked about the recent decision of Jurgan Klopp to announce his exit from Borussia Dortmund next season.
Wenger’s reply to the question left everyone wondering about the aftereffects of Klopp’s decision on Wenger’s position at Arsenal next season. Wenger claimed that a big circus has been made out Klopp’s departure at Dortmund and the Frenchman called the entire event as ridiculous.
Arsene Wenger was clearly irritated when he was asked about Klopp’s departure from Dortmund and part of the reason of Wenger’s irritation was that many quarter of the media are tipping Klopp to take over at Arsenal from Arsene Wenger.
Wenger did answer the question but not in a very gentle mood. Wenger said: ‘I’m not an agency to place managers,’
I like every manager and respect, everybody. I find that circus a bit ridiculous.
‘It’s down to every club to make the right decision and to respect Dortmund. Dortmund is a massive club and will survive, they have the ability to keep their best players.
‘They have a big history linked with great results and great achievements so I don’t think that will stop for Dortmund.’
Asked if Klopp could be the right man for Arsenal one day,Wenger rebuffed and said: “I have already answered this question,’ ‘Try to get your ideas through and adapt as well to the local culture, and respect it,’
