Breaking: Arsene Wenger To Sign Two-Year Contract Extension In March!!

Arsene Wenger is expected to end uncertainty over his own future by signing a new contract at Arsenal in March, according to reports.

The Frenchman’s contract runs out at the end of this season and he has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are also yet to commit to the club with the Gunners unable to strike a deal with the duo, who have 18 months left on their current contracts.

And, with Ozil in particular, it is thought that their future not only depends on a good offer from the club but also a decision on Wenger’s situation.

It had been rumoured that the 67-year-old would wait until the summer to decide on whether to extend his time at the club but the Daily Mirror claims that the Arsenal hierarchy want to sign him up to a new deal in March.

The report says that the club will use the international break at the end of March to agree to a two-year extension. And that is likely to pave the way for the club to concentrate on nailing down Ozil and Sanchez to fresh terms.

There does not seem to be quite so much animosity between the polarised Arsenal fans so far this season, but that could just be because the Gunners have been winning more games than they have been losing. But there are still a fair number of ‘WengerOut’ supporters around, but there have been a few more factors brought into the discussion this season.

The Sun believe that PSG are poised to make a move to appoint Wenger if he decides his time at the Emirates is up. Unai Emery only took the hot-seat in Paris in the summer, but he has had endured a rocky start this season.

If Wenger does call it quits, it will bring to an end an incredible 20-year career with Arsenal. He deserves to be respected and admired for his past achievements, rather than ridiculed for Arsenal’s 12-year title drought.

Even Olivier Giroud has said all the Arsenal players want Arsene Wenger to stay on as manager next season.

Arsenal are eight points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.
