The Gunners were held to a dull draw at the King Power Stadium at the weekend after neither team managed to break the deadlock on the night.

This leaves Arsene Wenger’s side with just a point from their first two games and desperate for more in the upcoming fixtures.

This has left the manager search for additions in the transfer window with more scrutiny with just over a week left for the deadline day.

The manager has been linked with a move for a number of clubs recently but has not been able to make any signings recently.

However, according to reports, Arsenal are now linked with a move for Benfica B player Diogo Goncalves.

According to reports, Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the 19-year old and has sent a scout to watch the player in action in Benfica B’s 1-1 draw against Gil Vicente.

The Portuguese national has played for Almodôvar and Ferreiras but Benfica B is his first professional club where he has made a name for himself as an attacker scoring 7 goals and picking up 3 assists in the UEFA Youth league last season.

The Arsenal manager is known to have a good eye for picking up young talent and Goncalves is the latest player to add to the list of Wenger’s wish list this summer.

It is revealed that the 19-year old is looking at offers to play for a bigger team in Europe and though a move for Arsenal this season may not be good for his progress, he will be able to learn a lot in his time in England and can become a better player if he makes the move.

He has been a part of the Portugal national team at every level till now and is expected to take him a place in the senior side in years to come.

Arsenal are looking to reinforce their attack this summer and though the 19-year old is not the right solution to their problem, he surely is the kind of a guy that can liven the dressing room and induce some confidence in the squad.

Do you think Arsenal should move for Goncalves this summer?
