Sometimes it seemed like Colaco was actually meant for Dempo. In his reign for Dempo, he won Four national league titles, the Durand Cup, the Federation Cup and he also managed to lead the outfit to have been the first Indian club to reach the semi-finals of the AFC Cup, in 2008. Also he won Dempo two I-League titles. It was really shocking to see Colaco putting an end to his management career here. The former Indian international manager having some serious issues with the Sporting management eventually stepped down. Arthur Papas, the Australian coach who is the current coach of India-23 squad and also the former coach of Pailan Arrows replaced Armando Colaco at Dempo Sporting. Papas in his career, had a good taste of management. He began his coaching career at the Australian side Oakleigh Cannons and under Papas, the team managed to be the runner up of The Victorian Premier League in 2011. In the spell of 2010 to 2011, he was the assistant manager of Australia U17 team, and in the 2011-12 season, he was the assistant manager of Newcastle Jets. After that season, he came to India and began to manage Indian U23 squad. On the same year, he joined Pailan Arrows as their coach, but he was sacked very soon. Papas won the Victorian Premier League Coach of the Year award on 2011. He was the youngest coach of Victorian Premier League history. At the age of 30, he began his management career. It is a very good decision by Dempo to grant him the place of the Dempo coach.Just after his arrival, he made some tremendous foreign signings like Beto, Somin Colosimo and Andrew barisich. He has all the potentials to become the true successor of Armando Colaco.

But what is next for Armando Colaco? Currently he is jobless and there is no reliable news on where his future actually lies. Some media sources claim that East Bengal might be interested in Colaco as their British coach Trevor James Morgan left after the past season. But East Bengal general secretary Kalyan mazumder said that they would not appoint any Indian coach, which make the news is far from true. So where would Colaco’s future would take him? Only time can give the apt  answer.
