According to latest reports, Atletico Madrid are interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Edinson Cavani and are tipped favorites ahead of Manchester United to sign him this summer.

Edinson Cavani is currently unhappy at PSG as he is playing as secondary striker to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and often plays in out-of-position. The player has insisted that he wants to play as a striker but he is ignored. PSG are reportedly planning to sell Cavani to make money for Pogba transfer which would cost near to £150m.

Atletico Madrid are looking for a new striker as their new signing Greizmann is expected to leave Vincente Calderon this summer amid interest from European giants Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Adding Cavani will give more pace to Atletico’s game as he will pair up front with Mario Mandzukic.

Manchester United are heavily linked with Edinson Cavani in the recent weeks but Atletico Madrid is expected to win the race for the star forward. Edinson Cavani have often expressed his interest to play in Spanish League publicly which will favor Atletico Madrid ahead of Red Devils. The player would cost Atletico Madrid £45million.
