Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has refused to rule out a move for Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin at the end of the ongoing season.
The 22-year old has been under the radar of Barcelona for a while now as he has grown into one of the most talented full-backs in the world.
The Spaniard has so far made 29 appearances for Gunners this season and has been an integral part of the team over the past two seasons after breaking into the first team a couple of seasons ago.
Meanwhile, Blaugrana are in the market to sign a new right-back as the area remains their only weakness since the departure of Dani Alves to Juventus last summer.
Asked about a potential move for Bellerin, Fernandez said: ‘It is a position that we are evaluating.
‘There are many options and we will decide what we think is the best. If the market helps us, we will always try to improve, why not?
‘But I do not want to talk about these things now, better to think about the titles we can win this year.’
The Catalan giants have failed to replace Dani Alves as both Aleix Vidal and Sergi Roberto has failed to provide the solidarity at the back despite backed by Luis Enrique since the start of the season.
Bellerin looks like an ideal replacement as the player was brought up in La Masia and knows the Barca philosophy perfectly to fit into the team immediately. The youngster has moved to Premier League giants in 2011 and has developed into the best young right back in the world over the past three years.
However, it will take a lot of money to bring Bellerin back to Camp Nou as the full-back has recently signed a six and half year contract with Arsenal which expires only in 2022.
