According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are keen to sign Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic as the Catalan club is keen to sign an experienced forward.
The report meant a major blow to Arsenal as they are keen to sign Mandzukic in an attempt overcome their striker crisis. Reports in Italy also suggested that West Ham are also keen to sign the star striker going into the new season.
The arrival of Gonzalo Higuain for a club record fee meant that Mario Mandzukic has fallen down in the pecking order at Turin which could see him warming the bench or playing as a secondary striker to Higuain for the next season.
This has led the player to think about his future at Juventus after his arrival from Atletico de Mardid last season for a massive fee. The Croatian failed to meet the expectations of Italian giants as he managed to score only 10 goals in last season Serie A for the Old Lady.
Arsenal who are desperate to add a new striker were keen with Jamie Vardy who chose to stay Leicester City. Now with Mandzukic being tracked by Barcelona, it could be another blow for Arsenal as they move into the new season.
The 30-year old former Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich star is valued at around £17m by Juventus.
