New manager Ernesto Valverde will have the complete squad for disposal for their Super Cup clash against Real Madrid in August.
The Blaugrana are currently preparing for their new season with a pre-season tour to United States as European clubs continue to strengthen their football in American market apart from China. The club already has all but three players unavailable for their pre-season at this point of time.
Valverde currently has 29 players in training in which Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu, are injured. The Brazilian midfielder is till recovering from the horrific knee ailment injury he suffered few months ago and will not be participating in their United States tour. On the other hand, new signing Deulofeu is still trying to solve his pubic problems.
Another new player Nelson Semedo along with Andre Gomes and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are given an extended break after their Confederations Cup participation last month and could join the team post the tour to begin their preparations for new season. But Txingurri already has the core roster under his disposal for their pre-season tour and the team would only get strengthened for their game against Real Madrid in Super Cup.
However, the major doubt that still lingers is about the arrival of Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The 24-year has been linked with a move to Camp Nou since the start of the summer but there has been any progress since then.
The major stumbling block for Barca are the French giants who are not keen to let the Italian leave. PSG are currently playing hard ball over the transfer despite Verratti’s frustration to leave Paris this summer. It remains to be seen how long Barca will need to wait before they can their top priority target.
On the other hand, the trio of MSN will all be available for their pre-season games and will play a major role in promoting the Catalan club in United States over the next 10 days.
