Barcelona Finding It Hard To Lure This Italian Sensation To The Camp Nou This Summer

Barcelona had a season to forget under Luis Enrique as they failed to lift the League title or the Champions League title last season.
Though they managed to lift the Copa del Rey title late last season, it was not enough for Enrique to keep his place and the club did not take too long to replace him with Ernesto Valverde for the next season.
The new manager has already started looking for a potential addition to the squad next season and has been linked with some of the finest players in world football for a move this summer.
One such player extensively linked with a move to the Camp Nou is Italian midfielder Marco Verratti.

One of the best midfielders on show in Europe at the moment, Verratti has been in impeccable form in France, playing for PSG for more than three years now but he is now ready to make the big switch and is ready for a move to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona desperate
So it does not come as a surprise that the Catalan giants are desperate for his signature and are ready to do what it takes to land him this summer.
Verratti has reportedly cut his vacation short to resolve this issue and will reportedly do what it takes to push through his move to Spain but it is now understood that it might be really difficult for Barcelona to land the 24-year old this summer as well.
With not many top class options available in the transfer market, Barcelona are ready to pay over the odds but reports now suggest that a deal is becoming all the more difficult.
PSG won’t budge
And the major reason for it is the fact that the French giants are not ready to offload Verratti for anything less than his valuation.

According to the Sport, PSG are adamant that they do not want to let any of their first team players go and in fact, want to add some quality to their squad.
It is claimed that they are not ready to part ways with their first choice midfielder, for whatever price Barcelona are ready to pay.
“Barcelona are wasting time and energy on Verratti,” a club source told SPORT about the move for the Italian international.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the PSG boss, has time and again claimed that none of his first-team players are up for sale this summer so it does not come as a surprise if Barcelona might have to look elsewhere for the right replacement.
