According to latest reports, Barcelona are plotting a move for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey. The Catalan club are currently under transfer ban and cannot buy any players in this transfer window but plans to sign the Arsenal star in the January window.

The Spanish giants are willing to table £50 million for the Welshman. It is also reported that Barcelona have scouted Ramsey all through the season as many as ten times and will also watch him during FA Cup final on May 30.

With Xavi set to leave Camp Nou this summer after a 17-year spell with Barcelona, there will be room for a central midfielder in Barca’s line up next season. Ivan Rakitic has been an instant success this season for Barcelona but Luis Enrique is looking to add more attacking player to his midfield and Ramsey looks to be the perfect option.

Barcelona are looking to sign a pre-agreement with Gunners this summer and will wait till January to make the transfer happen. Ramsey currently earns £125,000-a-week and has four years left on his current deal at the Emirates, but Barca are willing to start the bidding at £50m and will go higher suggests the reports.

The Welshman made 40 appearances for Gunners this season scoring 10 goals and assisted 7 more.
