Juventus have set their sights on Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, according to reports in Italy. Juventus are said to have identified Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin as a summer transfer target.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims the Serie A champions are keen to revamp their ageing defence. And they reportedly sent scouts to watch the full-back in action for Spain’s Under-21s this week against Italy.
Juve’s interest in Bellerin comes just days after Barcelona appeared to rule out a move for the Gunners star. Barca sporting director Robert Fernandez said: “Of course Hector is a good player but it would be very difficult.
“He is well known. He is playing at a great level but there are also other players that have good characteristics.”
Reports in Spain suggest the Catalan giants have turned their attention to Valencia full-back Joao Cancelo instead.
The La Liga champions were reportedly put off by Arsenal’s £45million valuation of Bellerin. The Spain international signed a new deal with the Gunners in November, keeping him in north London until June 2023.
