Barclays Premier League’s best player and manager for the month of January were recently announced. The winners of this award earn it because of their extravagant performance in that specific month and for the month of January the best player according to Barclays was Tottenham Hotspurs’s on fire forward Harry Kane.
Harry Kane in the month of January racked up incredible 8 goals and made 2 assists and also the goals which he scored were against some big clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Apart from this he was also outrageous in every aspect of the game and in each and every game he played like a team man and played a major role in uplifting the team’s morale. Kane clinched this award by beating Emre Can, Santi Cazorla, Oscar, Dwight Gayle, and Jose Fonte.
While Southampton boss Ronald Koeman won the Barclays Manager of the month award for his excellent month with the Saints. Southampton’s focal point in defense that is Morgan Schneiderlin was injured since the start of January and also they had a tricky and hectic set of fixtures for January. But somehow Koeman managed to escort his team hrough January without any defeat and Saints stayed inside top 4 for another month keeping aside Arsenal, Liverpool and spurs. Other managers who were nominated are Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino and Mark Hughes.
