Sep 27, 2016 at 2:05 PM
The Premier League this weekend was once again a sizzling affair with clubs from around the country putting in some superb performances on the night.
Clubs from the top half of the table found it easy on the night but there were some mouth watering encounters that saw a number of star players dazzle for their clubs.
There were a number of individual performances that were a treat to watch but not all resulted in a victory for their team.
With all 10 games done and dusted, here is the team of the week for match-day 6:
Petr Cech (Arsenal):
The Arsenal goalkeeper was bang in form against his former team as he kept out a number of shots from the Blues to hold on to a clean sheet on the night.
Craig Dawson (West Bromwich Albion):
The West Brom defender was a class apart for his side as he put in a brilliant performance to keep his side in the hunt right till the end, keeping away the opposition from dangerous areas with a patient display.
Chris Smalling (Manchester United):
Having opened the scoring for United against Leicester City from a corner, Smalling, was a strong presence for his side at the back as he kept the likes of Vardy and Slimani away from danger for long periods of time.
Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal):
The French international is easily one of the best defenders in Europe and had yet another impressive game this weekend. He was strong and smart against a Chelsea attack that was at times sparkling and managed to hold on to the clean sheet for his side.
James Milner (Liverpool):
Playing as a makeshift left-back, Milner created more chances than any other player in his side on the night and also picked up a brace, slotting in both the penalties that were awarded to his team in the game against Hull City.
Paul Pogba (Manchester United):
Arguably the best game for Pogba in a Red Devils shirt, the French international finally looked at home in the midfield alongside Herrera as he controlled the game for long periods and also got himself on the scoresheet.
Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur):
The man of the match for Spurs on the night, Son, took over the goal scoring responsibilities from the injured Harry Kane and came up with a brace over Middlesbrough to give his team all three points from the game.
Phillipe Coutinho (Liverpool):
His usual self in the final third, toying and playing with the Hull defense, Coutinho, was close to his best on the night, scoring a trademark goal from outside the box and also setting up another for Lallana on a productive night.
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal):
The Chile international has settled well into a striker’s role at the club and has been in a good goal scoring form. He picked up a goal and an assist on the night where he was one of the best players on the field.
Charlie Austin (Southampton):
Helping Southampton to a victory over the Hammers, Charlie Austin is starting to make an impact on the Premier League. He scored one and set up another is the 3-0 victory for the Saints and will hope to keep his form going throughout this season.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City):
Arguably the best striker in the league, Aguero, has lifted his total goals tally in all competitions to 12 already. He bagged a brace in the game against Swansea and helped his team pick all 18 points from the first three games of the season.
