According to latest reports, Bayern Munich enter the race for FC Porto’s winger Yacine Brahimi. Reports suggest that Bayern Munich’s Technical director Michael Reschke reached out to Brahimi’s representatives to negotiate over a possible transfer this summer.

The 25-year old Algerian International has drawn interest from various clubs including Manchester United after impressive outings in Champions League this season. The player moved to FC Porto last summer from Granada for a reported fee of €6.5 million.

FC Bayern has faced injury crisis this season after their star wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben got often injured during the season and the back-up Shaqiri is loaned out to Inter Milan and a permanent move for the Swiss winger is done.

Thomas Muller is the only viable option left for the German champions when one of their wingers get injured. But with both the wingers injured whom Bayern are heavily reliant, the club management have decided to bring some fresh players into the squad this summer.

Robben (31) and Ribery (32) have performed year after year consistently for Bayern putting critics at bay but the time has come for Bayern to think for new players to replace both the club legends.

Brahimi is valued at a region around £40million by FC Porto as clubs like PSG and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in his services.
