Kevin De Bruyne will join Manchester City in this transfer window according to the player’s agent.
The Belgian star has been linked with a move to the Premier League giants since a long time and Sky Sports now claims that the player’s agent has said that even though a deal is yet to be finalised, the transfer move is imminent.
According to reports, a transfer fee of 74m euros for the attacking midfielder has been “agreed in principle”. It could reach 80m Euros when the add-ons are covered.
Kevin De Bruyne’s agent Patrick de Koster was quoted by Sky Sports: “There is no final agreement with Manchester City, maybe there will be tomorrow.”
Manchester City at present are yet to confirm any such conversation with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and have denied any such transfer link. Earlier it was reported that the Citiyzens had placed a bid of £47 million which was rejected by Wolfsburg.
Wolfsburg have asked for a fee somewhere around £58 million, £54 million initially and add-ons.
Manchester City have been a keen admirer of the 24-year-old midfielder and they are understood to be desperate to rope in him to bolster their squad. The club is on a spending spree this summer as they have already bought Raheem Sterling from Liverpool for a record £49 million, Fabian Delph from Aston Villa and Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia.
Kevin De Bruyne had earlier played in the Premier League when he was at Chelsea, but due to lack of first team appearances he moved out of the club and joined the Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. He was brilliant at the Bundesliga club as he became one of the best players in the club as well as in the league last season. He inspired Wolfsburg to finish second in the league and also helped them to win the DFB Pokal and German Super Cup.
De Bruyne to Manchester City will be a one of the biggest transfer move this window and will make the Cityzens front-runners to win the Premier League title.
