Bidding War confirmed: United to lock horn with Arsenal, Chelsea for Real Madrid’s star attacker

Manchester United could stump up over £45million to land Alvaro Morata, according to El Confidencial. If this report is to be believed then Arsenal and Chelsea face serious competition as both clubs are chasing the striker for a while.
Jose Mourinho is still keen on further bolstering his front line options and the Spaniard is said to be top of the wishlist.
While the Paul Pogba deal is set to be completed, Mourinho is reportedly still looking at strikers and Morata should be available.
Bought back by Real Madrid earlier this summer, the former Juventus hitman could be sold for a profit and United are reportedly among the teams considering the big money swoop.
The Spain international enjoyed his two seasons as a first-team regular at Juventus, before Real activated a buy-back clause in his contract this summer.
But the Real Madrid striker is reportedly not happy at being kept by the La Liga giants this summer as he is believed to be eyeing an ambitious move to Arsenal.
Now back at the Bernabeu, at first it was believed that Real would cash in on Morata as bidders from the Premier League came in the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, but they later decided to hold on to him as part of Zinedine Zidane’s squad.
The 23-year-old Spaniard is now pushing for the Spanish giants to let him go, and would surprisingly favour a move to Arsenal over anyone else, the same media outlet El Confidencial reported yesterday. It seemed a future with new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte didn’t inspire him despite working with him at Juventus.
Arsenal are still in the market for a striker, but seem more likely to prioritize the more affordable Alexandre Lacazette, with Morata set to cost as much as £58million.
Not only Chelsea, but Manchester United also have shown an interest in Morata this summer, but United have already signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while Chelsea seems to have made Romelu Lukaku their top target up front.
